Would you like to get to know your machine better? This class is designed for anyone who wants to get a little more familiar with their sewing machine. We will learn about different needles for different projects, why thread quality makes such a difference, and general machine troubleshooting. You will even get the chance to do some basic machine maintenance to help keep your machine running smoothly for longer! This is most helpful for those with their own machine however anyone is welcome if they would like to learn some of the technical aspects of sewing, such as the relationship between needles and fabrics etc. This class covers general troubleshooting, machine maintenance and why picking the right needle and thread for a project is so important. Ideal for anyone - new sewers can learn how to prevent common errors and long time seamstresses will gain a new appreciation of everything their machine does. Skills Covered: Removing dust, fluff and threads from inside your machine Choosing appropriate needles and learning about the myriad of types Why your fabric bunches at the beginning or end of a seam and how to prevent it Gain a greater understanding of your machine and how it functions
